Linda McDonald-Brown is a qualified A.I.riding instructor who has been riding since the age of four and now teaches riding in a freelance capacity at a local riding stables. For the past 10 years she has been breeding traditional pig breeds on her smallholding and along with her husband set up the well known Bidgiemire Pig co. Her experience in this field led her to be commissioned to write two books. Choosing and Keeping Pigs and the latest one Pigs for the Freezer, a smallholder's guide. Her articles on Rural Issues can be found in such magazines as Smallholder Magazine, Vets magazines, HomeFarmer, Practical Pigs and the internet magazine City Cottage. Just recently she has started a weekly column in the Gallaway Gazette entitled Musings of a Pig Lady.
She is regularly asked to give talks on rural issues at shows including shows as diverse as the Ideal Home show in Glasgow and the Scottish Smallholder show in Forfar, Angus and has appeared on television and the radio in the past.
Her general livestock and pet experience in the past has included working in dog kennels, showing Old English Sheepdogs and Border Terriers, working in catteries, showing and training horses, working in hunting yards and show pony stables. Farm experience includes working as a lambing assistant for farms in Yorkshire, Devon and Somerset and general livestock care. She also ran her own B&B establishment in Lanarkshire for five years.
Linda's services currently include Riding and Stable Managment lessons, help at horse shows, including plaiting, grooming and washing, help with buying a horse or pony, dog walking, help and advice with pigs, pig courses, lambing or farrowing assistance, gardening, cleaning, pet and livestock feeding and housesitting.

Pam Clasper has been breeding and training Foundation American Quarter Horses for over 20 years. Her experience in this field includes mare and stallion selection and management, foaling mares and handling/early training of youngsters. Pam uses natural horsemanship methods and at present is studying for an equine podiatry qualification. She also has extensive experience with large and small dogs, cats and sheep.
